Privacy at Minary

How Minary handles
your data.

What we store, what AI processes, and the choices you have.

Minary stores your projects, tasks and session history so you can return to your work. Its AI features use relevant project, profile and session details to generate suggestions.

This page describes the beta workspace. If you joined the waitlist, you can also read the archived waitlist privacy notice .

Workspace data

What you add to Minary.

Your account details, projects, tasks and session feedback make up your workspace. You can edit your projects, tasks and profile as your work changes.

AI processing

What AI receives.

Minary currently uses Claude, by Anthropic, for its AI features and Google Gemini to transcribe voice dictation. AI features send your request and relevant workspace details to these providers for processing. Request records can include parts of your messages and the responses.

02 / What AI processes

What happens when you use AI.

AI-assisted project creation, session planning, project conversations, session recaps and voice dictation use information relevant to the feature you are using.

This can include your messages, project structure, task details, work profile and session information. Minary currently sends that information to Anthropic through the Claude API to generate a response. When you dictate a message, the recording of your voice is sent to Google through the Gemini API, which returns the text. Minary does not keep the recording.

What appears in AI request records

Minary records technical details about AI requests, such as usage and errors. Records can also include excerpts of your messages and the AI’s responses. Do not include passwords or access keys in your messages.

You review project proposals and session plans before proceeding. Manual project and task management is also available.

03 / Where data is stored

In the cloud. In your browser.

Minary uses Supabase to manage sign-in and store workspace data. Authentication and access controls help restrict access to that data. AI features also use Minary’s server-side services, Anthropic and Google for AI processing. For questions about your Minary account or data, contact the Minary team.

Your browser also saves sign-in information, interface preferences, tutorial progress, drafts and unfinished session updates. It uses local storage and session storage for this. Some records can remain after you close a tab or sign out.

On its public pages (home, privacy, sign-in and sign-up), Minary counts visits with GoatCounter. It records the page, the site you came from, your browser, system and screen size, and an approximate location. GoatCounter sets no cookies and keeps no IP addresses. Pages inside your workspace are not counted.

On the sign-in, sign-up and password pages, and when you change your password, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the form is being used by a person. For this check, Cloudflare receives your IP address and technical information about your browser and device.

Saved workspace data remains available between visits. Signing out is different from requesting deletion. Contact Minary for information about the retention of particular records, logs or backups.

In plain language

A few common questions.

Does Minary run entirely on my computer?

No. Your workspace is stored in the cloud, and AI requests are processed by external services. Your browser also saves sign-in information, preferences and some drafts.

Can I work without asking the AI?

Yes. You can create and edit projects and tasks, and choose tasks for a session yourself. Using an AI feature sends your request and relevant project or session details to Anthropic (Claude) for processing. Voice dictation goes to Google (Gemini).

Are AI conversations and responses saved?

Minary keeps records of AI requests. These can include excerpts of your messages and the AI’s responses, as well as the model used, response time and usage. They are separate from the project or session content you save.

Does signing out delete my projects?

No. Signing out ends your access from that session; it does not delete your saved workspace. Use the account deletion control in Settings or contact Minary about a data request.

How can I ask about my data?

Email contact@minary.app for questions about access, corrections, deletion, service providers or how long particular records are kept. You can also use the account controls available in Settings.
